
House of Torte
House of Torte is a French patisserie that specializes in offering an array of delectable bakery items, including freshly baked bread. The goal of the branding project, which was commissioned in 2016, was to create a simple yet luxurious image for the patisserie in preparation for its planned opening in 2017. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the patisserie's opening was delayed and the project was eventually put on hold. With the client's permission, I decided to revisit the project as a branding exercise to explore new possibilities for the patisserie's visual identity.

Logo Concept
The visual identity for House of Torte was designed to convey a modern, playful brand that embodies the sophistication of a high-end bakery. The logo combines a pictorial mark with a logotype using a serif typeface that adds character and personality to every curve and line. The logotype is designed to resemble a cake stand, highlighting the delicious cakes that are the bakery's specialty. The semicircle in the logo represents a cloche, further emphasizing the high-quality, gourmet nature of the brand. Together, these elements create a cohesive and visually appealing brand that appeals to both young and mature audiences.
